Getting to Clun
Clun is in South Shropshire, about one hour from Shrewsbury to the North and Hereford to the South and 45 minutes from Ludlow to the South East.
Details of how to reach Clun by road, and other practical information
on the town, are available on the Clun website.
Please don’t come to the Festival by car if you can use one of the other options detailed below. If you do arrive by car, you will be directed by stewards to the official car parking areas. Please DO NOT park in Clun's narrow streets. This is very important as the police are aware of problems with blocked streets during the Festival and will not allow us to continue next year if this year’s visitors park inappropriately.
Disabled parking will be available to badge holders in the car park adjacent to Clun Bridge.
2010 - Park and Ride at Bicton
This year we have permission to use a field in BICTON for the Park & Ride service. It is just over a mile outside Clun to the North West. The postcode is SY7 8NF. The field will be signposted but is opposite the turning to Whitcott Keysett.
Charge will be £2.
The 33-seater bus will run on a dolmus basis between the following times:
▪ Morning service from 10.00am - 11.40am
▪ Afternoon service from 15.00pm - 17.00pm
Secret Hills Shuttle Bus from Craven Arms
This shuttle bus service runs between Craven Arms railway station and Clun on Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday.
For running times, click here and follow the ‘Secret Hills Shuttle’ link.
Car Parking in Clun
Cost of parking is £2 per car. The two car parks on either side of the B4368 (Craven Arms road), Turnpike Lane and the Clun Industrial Estate, will be available. There will also be parking in a field in the Waterloo area, although it is quite steep so in wet weather will only be suitable for 4x4s.
Please follow stewards’ advice/directions at all times.
